Interview Questionare
1.Information richness high(many channels) . 1.Information richness medium to low(only responses).
2.Time required can be expensive. 2.Time required how to moderate.
3.Expense can be high . 3.Expense can be moderate .
4.Chance for follow up end probing Good : probing & clarification question can be asked by other interview. 4.Chance for follow up end probing Limited : probing follow up done a original data .
5.Confidentiality Interview is known to interview. 5.Confidentiality interview unknown to interviewer.
6.Involvement of subject interview in involved and commited. 6.Involvement of subject respondent is a no clear common.
7.Potential audience large number. 7.Potential audience quite large.

What are the modern methods for collecting system requirements?

The modern methods for collecting system requirements :

1.JAD : Bringing together in a joint application design(JAD) session users, sponsors, analysts and others to discuss and review system requirements.

2.Group Support System :Using group support systems to facilitate the sharing of ideas and voicing opinions about system requirements

3.CASE Tools :Using CASE tools to analyze current systems to discover requirements to meet changing business conditions

4.Prototypes :Interatively developing system prototype systems that refine the understanding of system requirement in concreate by showing a versions of systems features.

What is Open and Close System?

Open System :

A system that interacts freely with its environment taking input and returning output

Close System :
A system that is cut off from environment and does not interact with

Describe the Management skills of systems?Analysis

Describe the Management skills of systems Analysis :

As an analyst he/she used to know how to manage his own work and how to use organizational resources in the most productive ways possible self-management then, is on important skill for an analyst

There have four categories of management skills. They are -

i. Resource management

ii.Project management

iii.Risk management

iv.Change management

What is CASE?

CASE :

CASE stands for computer Aided software engineering. It refers to automated software tools used by system analysts to develop information system. These tools can be used to automate or support activities throughtout the systems development process with the objective of increasing productivity and improving the overall quality of the systems.

What is Objective/Use of CASE in an Organization?

Objective/Use of CASE in an Organization :

1.Improve the quality of the systems developed.

2.Increase the speed with which systems are design and developed.

3.Easy and improve the testing process through the use of automated checking.

4.Improve the integration development activities via common methodologies

5.Improve the quality and completeness of documentation.

6.Help standardize the development process.

7.Improve the management of the project

8.Simplified the program maintenance

9.Promote reuseability of modules and documentation

10.Improve software portability across environment.

Why Organization about/CASE or Reject CASE?

Organization about/CASE or Reject CASE :

1.Provides new systems with shorter development time

2.Improve the productivity of the systems development process

3.Improve the quality of the systems development of process

  4.Improve worker skills

5.Improve the portability of new systems

6.Improve the management of the system development process.

What are the visual and emerging tools

The visual and emerging tools :

There are three step :

1.Object-Oriented development tools.

2.Visual development tools

3.Evolution and future of development tools

Describe about Object Oriented development tools

Describe about Object Oriented development tools :

*Object Oriented development tools :

Object-Oriented development tools are helping to alleviate maintenance problems of organizations that have multiple systems with reducdant functions. To understand how object oriented tools work at first we have to know about the object "an object is a chunk of perform and data that is built to perform common functions within a system."The idea is to make objects that can be easily reused and literally become the buildings blocks for all systems.

Advantages :Object oriented development is that each object contains easily reuseable code. This means that objects used in one program can simply be inceted into a different program without having to be reprogrammed. In other words, once a once and object is created it can be plugged into a number of different applications, avoiding the time of having to reprogrammed that particular set of instructions.

What do mean by reuseable code development tools?

Reuseable code development tools :

This is very different from traditional programming language where variables produced and data are managed separately. This process of grouping the data and instructions together into a single object is called encapsulation.By encapsulating the instructions and data together programmed are easier to maintain because the object that are grouped together are procted or isolated from other parts of program.

What are the traditional method of collecting system requirements?

The traditional method of collecting system requirements :

1.Interview : Individually interview people informaed about the operation and issues of the current system and needs for system in future organizational activities.

2.Questionnaries : Survey people, via questionnaries to discover issues and requirements.

3.Observe Workers : at selected times to see how data are handled and what infromation people need to do their jobs.

4.Study business document : To discover reported issues policies, rules and directions as well concrete examples of the use of data and informations in the organization.

What is open-ended question?

Open-ended question :

Questions in interviews and on questionnaries that have no prespecified answer.Open ended question are usually used to probe for information which system analyst can not anticipate all possible responses for which system are do not konw the precise question to ask the person being interviewed is encourage to taje about whatever intervals him or her within the general bounds of the question.

Describe Advantages & Disadvantages of Open-Ended question

Describe Advantages of Open-Ended question :

1.One advantages of open ended questions in an interview is that previously unknown information can surface.System analyst can then continue exploring along unexpected lines of inquiry to reveal even more new information.

2.Open ended question also often put the interviews at case since they are able to respond in their own words uing their own structure.

3.Open ended questions give interviewees more of sense involvement and control in the interview.

Describe Disadvantages of Open-Ended question :
1.Open ended question is the length of time it can take for the questions to be timwe it can take for the questions to be answered.

2.Open ended questions can be dificult to summarize.

What is Close-ended question?

Close-ended question :

Close ended questions in interviews and on questionnaries that are those responding to choose from among a set of specified response close-ended questions provide a range of answer from which the interview may choose them is an example -

Which of the following would systems analyst say is the one best thing about the information systems you currently used or do you job.

a.Having easy access to all of the data you need.

b.The systems response time.

c.The ability to access the system remote location.

Describe Advantages & Disadvantages of Open-Ended question

Describe Advantages of Close-Ended question :

1.Close-ended questions work well when the major and search answers to questions well as are known.

2.Another plus is that interviews based closed ended questions do not necessarily response a large time commitment more topic can be covered.

3.Close ended question can also be an easy to beging an in interview and to determine of open ended question to persue

4.System analyst can include an other to encourage the interview to add unanticipated responses.

Describe Disadvantages of Close-Ended question :

1.Close ended questions is that useful information that quite fit into the defined answer may be overlooked as the respondent tries to make a choice instead of providing his or her best answer. 2.Close ended questions, like objective questions on an examination can follow several forms including these choices-
  • True or false
  • Multiple choice
  • Rating a response or idea or some scale, say from bad to good or strangly agree or disagree.
  • Ranking items in order to response.
